Dataset Number2393
Dataset TitleFunctional Hierarchy - Pedestrian Access
CustodianData Authority: Department for Infrastructure and Transport
Data Provider: Department for Infrastructure and Transport

Description

DescriptionPriority Pedestrian Area Pedestrian access located along and across arterial routes, where pedestrians are given a high priority. High Activity Pedestrian Area Provide safe and convenient connections at key locations along an arterial route for connections and access to destinations of high pedestrian activity. Pedestrian Local Pedestrian Access: Priority Pedestrian Area High Activity Pedestrian Area Pedestrian Local
UsageTransport Planning

Data Quality

LineageThe dataset has been compiled from the road centreline data.
Completeness100%
Positional AccuracyAccuracy of road alignments varies throughout the coverage depending on method of capture. In general, roads captured through DCDB processes in urban areas are generally within +/- 5 metres of their true position. In rural areas the accuracy is generally within +/- 25metres. In pastoral regions sourced from Geoscience Australia the accuracy is of the order of +/- 125 metres. A program Condition data collection surveys including GPS alignments are used to improve road alignments.

Primary TableGIS_ROAD_NO textUnique identifier as defined by DPTI, for roads which DPTI are responsible for maintaining or may have in the past, as well roads which may be of interest to DPTI.
Primary TableSTART_RRD Floating PointDriven length (road running distance) in kilometres from the start of the road to the start location of the feature or section of road. NB All roads have a designated start, end and direction in CRRS.
Primary TableEND_RRD Floating PointDriven length (road running distance) in kilometres from the start of the road to the end location of the feature or section of road.
Primary TableSIDE textCarriageway/Side for the designated section of road U/L - Undivided Left carriageway R - Right Carriageway NB All CRRS roads have a defined direction and the side is defined with reference to the increasing road running distance, not driving direction of the road.
